Thrifty Has Made a Wrong Turn
After two and a half years being happy Thrifty customers with a corporate discount to use on leisure travel, I am now going to revise all of our holiday plans so we can rent from another company. Thrifty is now all about saying no, we can't do that, that's not covered, we're going to have to charge you a penalty. They nickle and dime their customers (pardon the Yankism) by the minute and the dollar. Yet, they regularly provide vehicles that have faulty fuses so that one cannot use a GPS or mobile mapping device (I bet they check the fuses if you pay extra to rent THEIR GPS). The turnover is extremely high (less than 3 months on front counter help) and they are clearly more worried about keeping the manager happy than keeping the customer happy. I hope their status and value plummets in this country so another company can take over these corporate contracts. Curses on you Thrifty. And you used to be decent value for the money.

A couple of weeks ago me my friend needed last minute rental to cairns, we also only wanted go one-way. We used comparecarrental.com.au to make our initial booking - we saw saw a one way rental fee (pretty standard so I here).
